Anton Williams is a 9th generation business owner and executive. The initial ancestor from the line was David Williams who migrated from Wales England to Colonial America in the 1700s. He started timber, real estate, corn, cotton, tobacco and trading business on 11,000 acres of land he acquired by 1790. His descendants have continued his business enterprises and this notably includes his great grandson Archie Percy Williams of Natchez MS who was a mix race free colored millionaire in the antebellum era. A.P. Williams introduced the family to oil and gas industry. His name sake grandson Archie J. Williams continued operations in the oil and gas industry as did his sons.

Anton R. Williams of Kalamazoo/Grand Rapids MI is the great grandson of Archie J. Williams, great great great grandson of Archie Percy Williams and the 6th great grandson (great great great great great great grandson of David Williams of England who started the family operations).
